A.J. & Friends Classic Cars

This 1966 Charger is owned by Bill Hunt of Sparland, Illinois who's one of my best and oldest clients. It was an original 383 4-speed car. Before Bill bought the Charger, the former owner had installed a brand new 426 crate Hemi in the car. To make it even better, they had removed the original crate single 4-barrel manifold and carb that comes with the crate engine and installed an original 1966 Hemi two 4-barrel intake and carbs. The engine also has the vintage exhaust manifolds. Some real high $$$ parts, not to mention a new, huge aluminum radiator as well as a new clutch and brakes.

Bill brought the car to me to check it over and iron out some bugs. We did a lot of ironing and when we were done, the original worn out, old 23-spline, 4-speed was replaced with a Keisler Tremec TK 500 5-speed conversion. We also installed some new Autometer gauges, new axle bearings, new chrome single wire alternator, several other necessities, and finally, an "Animal Jim" Feurer Super Tune.

This car is a beast and runs super strong! Would be a good run for my '64 Galaxie 427 R code. After test driving Bill's silver beast, I can tell you this, I would have my hands full. Perhaps more than me and my Big Red 427 Ford can handle! LOL! I may need to reel out my Big Animal with the 427 Tunnel Port.
